From 2.x to 3.x the plug-in was changed to use the same structure as other static analysis plug-ins, i.e. it is now depending on the analysis-core plug-in. Several classes/attributes were updated/changed/removed, so I'm not sure if we can really preserve backward compatibility in this case :/ I'll give it a try next week anyway.
