For the simple http → https redirect we got: curl -L http://jenkins.domain.com/createItem?name=test --data-binary @data.xml Produces the error but: curl https://jenkins.domain.com/createItem?name=test --data-binary @data.xml does not. The error is very hard to decipher - its best translated as "no data sent with post".
