Steve Springett edited a comment on Bug JENKINS-20564

Unable to replicate in my environment. My linux slaves are about 10% faster than my OSX master on a consistent basis. Network filesystems should not be used for DC data directory and the workspace should be on the slave that DC is running on.

Additionally, each node in a Jenkins cluster will have it's own DC data directory. The first time the data directory is populated, it needs to pull down all the NIST data and index it. So the first run will always be slower regardless of node. If a DC job is not pinned to a specific node, and there are many nodes in the cluster, this may explain why it appears to take longer on slave nodes.
