Re publishing it, I've a few small plugins in the pipeline, but I am too laz...busy to figure out how to use the SSH agent needed to actually release things to the plugins repo. Plus, the community usually frowns on small plugins that don't seem worth the additional entry to the plugins list to some and I don't look forward to having to defend these one trick ponies.
As making the plugin available locally seems to work for you, and there are safety issues with making this part of core, I'm resolving this as fixed.
