This is a feature that would decrease our configuration and maintenance effort by factor 3! We have several Jobs which are used as template for other Jobs which have only minor changes in configuration parameters. All the rest of the configuration is identical and shared from the main Job: scm repositories (which currently does not work for some Jobs because of https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-24404) build steps post-build actions ... This is one of the last missing _shared configuration item_s for us
