Alex Law commented on Bug JENKINS-22542

As Hans and Eric have said, we're also receiving this on Externals during builds: intermittently and which external causes this can vary. We are attempting to switch to Jenkins now and use a lot of externals, so unable to define if working before.

We've seen a job succeed and then the downstream project fail with this exception as well. Downstream may or may not succeed, if it fails it may or may not be due to the same external as the upstream. Very odd to see it work sometimes and not others.

This occurs with and without Additional Credentials being set.
