I'll suggest an option to enabled remembering of last used build parameter (at least for string and boolean parameters).
For example we need to build for some hours with some specific parameter, afterwards with some others. This might vary multiple times a day. So the default parameter is not the right mechanism.
The default mechanism might be reused. I could image that you've another option for some parameters "remember last provided parameter" which automatically fills the default parameter value after the parameter page.
