Hello there -

I'm writing to let the community know that there is a beta of
github-branch-source, version 2.4.0-beta-1, now available on the Jenkins
Experimental Update Center. You can read more about github-branch-source,
including links to what's in this beta, on its wiki page
<https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/GitHub+Branch+Source+Plugin>.

The big news with this beta is the introduction of a cache, which
substantially reduces the number of API calls made to GitHub. This is
especially relevant to users who have large numbers of GitHub Organization
Folder jobs. If you've been frustrated by GitHub API Rate Limit problems,
this beta is worth taking a look at.

We'd love feedback on this beta. As with any beta, the recommendation is to
not just drop this into production immediately. With that said - it has
been tested extensively, and has been in use for several days now on the
Blue Ocean team's CI system.

Thanks for reading,

Karl Shultz
