The lower ball joints on a JH are similar to the TR7 lower ball joints but have a
larger dia. bolt, the press in part is the same are all other external dimensions. The
TR7 also are sealed units, no zerk. I find that a proper Ball Joint press is a must
when changing these but getting hard to find.

I like the plate AE7000 for any Jensen as RC may agree, but would prefer
YearOfManufacture plates as we will soon be allowed here in Ontario.

LHD was a US gov. idea based on the most common car, they did something logical most
cars were Model T's which were LHD. Aside from the T few American cars made at the
time were LHD.
I know some places like OZ are a little crazy about the RHD thing. In the US and
Canada you can drive what every you like, ie. not required to change RHD to LHD even
saying it sounds stupid. More problems are created by switching then are solved, and
often times real tragic problems are created that are not detected in the OZ gov.
inspections. I would sooner have the laws changed than change the car. YOM plates
were here, are a result of a few Old Auto lovers changing the law this winter. As all
of you know on this list, old cars are a Hobby, and it is hard enought restoring to
original. It would be a far better idea to add seatbelts than change LHD to RHD.

1000 for a JH with problems depends more on the person buying, if you can do the work
yourself and enjoy working on Jensens then it can be restored (with the help of this
list) for a smaller cost. My main concern would be the engine. Carb age problems are
comon and often make a good engine look bad but rarely have much to do with sync.
(most often the just need a partial rebuild, DIY about 10bucks, total rebuild yourself
on a 57 mile carb about 40bucks) the other big problem plastic T aside (again cheep to
replace but if you hire a mech. at 50 an hour, forgetabout it.) Also are you willing
to enjoy a work in progress? Personally if I were you and offered the guy 1000 and he
now accepted your offer then the car is yours. The other good thing is the JH are not
very expensive or difficult to restore as interceptors or an FF.

Best Wishes from the frozen north,
