I don't know how many joint Jensen/Mercedes owners there are out there but
I ran across this in my monthly AutoRestorer magazine.

Mercedes Assistance Program

"Owners of older Mercedes Benz cars can now call the company to check on
the availability and price of replacement parts. The company announced that
"classic car specialists, armed with a complete set of technical data," are
on call between 9 am and 5 pm EST, Monday through Friday at a toll-free
number-- 866-MBCLASSIC (622-5277)."

Article goes on to say that the caller must have a chassis number or VIN,
and MB will check availability and price and provide a phone number for a
dealership that will order the part. E-mail inquiries, which must include
chassis # or VIN, can be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Says MBUSA President and CEO, "The future market for classic car services
continues to grow. It behooves us to ensure that the total Mercedes
ownership experience effectively encompasses all of our vehicles."

End of article.

Makes me wish I'd kept that old 190SL that I once had. Nice car, just too
hard to keep up with the rust. Still looking for another one.

I know that Rolls Royce also provides parts services for their older cars
as much as possible. There are stories about Rolls once stating that they
would provide parts for the life of the car. Any truth to that or is it
just another RR myth?

I'm just glad that we Jensen owners have such a good group of aftermarket
suppliers, surprising really, considering the low volumes on the
Interceptor and the high attrition rate on the JH. How about that, I did
get some Jensen content in there ;-)
