From another group - thought it might be interesting:

There is some cool electronics in the (Mclaren) F1 as well.� using a mobile 'phone the factory can remotely diagnose every possible fault in your car.� They can download full telemetry of your driving history and even switch on your windscreen wipers from the other side of the world.
There is a story given by the factory about one owner who they downloaded the telemetry for, but couldn't understand.� It said that the owner, 5 times a week, would cruise at 200mph for long periods of time.� He simply explained that he is a dentist, living inGermany, but with his practice in Austria.� He commutes each morning, before rush hour, for about 300Km.� He didn't know what all the fuss was about !

BTW, I see Zak McGregor on that group from time to time - Zak - what cars do you own (sorry if you said, and I missed it)

Finally, on bonnet clearance - I have not had any problem with my Interceptors, either 383 or 440 powered, although it can be a close thing. (The sixpack wouldn't clear the brace in the CV-8, mind you, so out it - the brace - went).
