You're referring to the lug nut torque, right? 51 Ft-Lbs is the hard and fast
rule. No more, no less.
When I replaced my tires last summer I just took the wheels to the shop, had
them mount and balance the new tires, and put the wheels on myself. Of course
this was after refinishing the wheels.
