Yeah, I know, I know... My only defense is that Lotus does not (yet) bring the Elise
into US. It's Sun International that brings them into compliance for import and
*they* chose that engine for the car... It's still strongly rumored that Lotus will
(finally) bring the Elise to the US market for 2003 - but *nothing* with Lotus is a
sure thing... That's all the rage on the "other" list - what engine will Lotus use
for this market?? Also, hopefully, with no middle-man and no recertification, there
should be some ground gained on the price of the car.

Yep. I'd pay cold hard money to see that matchup - or to see that engine in the
Elise - or especially to see BOTH at the same time!!
