Hello Gavin,

If u consider an ontology editor as a KA tool, Protege-2000 is a nice one,
and it can be integrated to Jess converting the internal classes generated
in Java that represent the ontologies created to Java Beans, in such a way
that makes these beans accessible to Jess. Check out Jess mail archives for
msgs of Samsom Tu, the man who provided this conversion, if u're interested.

Subject: JESS: Knowledge Auisition systems for Jess

Hello

I am currently working on a project that involves developing a corrosion
expert system. It has allready been decided for a number of reasones to use
Java and Jess.

What I would like some advice on is development of knowledge aquisition
tools. There has allready been some discusion on Protege 2000 and Jess
which I have been keep uptodate on. Is this a viable package for use with
Rapid Application Design techniques. The other option we are condsidering
is creating are own in house product for creating jess rules from and
experts Knowledge.

Any information sources and comments / advice are apprecieated.

Thanks

Gavin Nunns
