Hello Buddy (and Gavin and all :) ),
When you sent the msg with the Userpackage error, I had already had the same
problem, but with another subtlety: In my application that doesn't use
Protégé, and was running normally I got the message:
java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError
at jess.Rete.addUserpackage(jess/Rete.java:553)
at Agent.Code.MASTERWebAgent.openRete(MASTERWebAgent.java:268)
at Agent.Code.MASTERWebAgent.<init>(MASTERWebAgent.java:113)
at Agent.Code.MASTERWebAgent.main(MASTERWebAgent.java:583)
Exception in thread "main"
Even uninstalling Protégé the result is the same. How did you solve it
Buddy??
One more observation:
Bill ,
I managed to install JessWin but changing the name of this file to JessIDE
as well as all JessWin methods calls. Otherwise the compiler issues the
error below
JessWin.java:23: JessWin clashes with package of same name
public class JessWin extends JFrame implements Serializable
^
1 error

Hello
The way best way to ensure sucess here is to first download and install Jess
as normal, compling the files within the directory structure given. The
next part is important to get JessTab to work. Copy the Jess directory
within Jess60a5 to the plugin folder, note do not copy the Jess60a5
directory as this will not work.
As has allready been pointed out the lastest versions of both Jess an
protege need to be used here, there also does not need to be any changes
made to the manifest file.
I hope this helps
