My firm, Wise Web softWare (WiseWebWare .com) is about to start several Army innovative research contracts. We are looking for researchers/developers in machine learning, data mining and natural language understanding (as applied to network security) on these contracts. These positions would turn into full-time, multi-year positions if we successfully compete for the next phase of funding. These positions involve both research and demonstrating the research through prototypes, and would lead to academic publications (once approved of by the Army). The initial positions are six-month part-time positions, and will be extended as the Army releases us further funding.

Wise Web softWare has offered consulting, research and development services since 1999. We are located in Virginia, but the position will offer telecommuting in exchange for the contract-limited salary. Second phase, permanent project/employees would be relocated to our Northern Virginia/DC office. Our current clients include CapitalOne, Southwestern Bell and the US government.
