Dear Friend, I hope you are doing well and are in the best of health. I am doing very well and am thankful for another day that God has given us. I have been thinking about the majesty of the Lord Jesus Christ and I felt led to write a message on how steadfast and humble the Apostles that served the Lord were before mankind and the Lord Himself. Many times we get caught up with the daily routines of life and forget to lift up the Lord and magnify Him above all else that is around us. I hope this message on honoring the Lord and living purely before Him ministers to your heart and encourages you to keep God first in your life and reminds you to give thanks to Him no matter the circumstances. As Bible believing Christians, we are to remember the Lord's sacrifice for mankind and keep in mind that His sufferings do not compare to the temporary trials and tribulations that come our way. Many times a problem comes our way and we forget that God is still in control and think that it is the end of the world. We should never lose focus of our wonderful Lord and His sacrifice for us. Keeping this in mind helps put into perspective every trial and tribulation that the enemy tries to bring before us. His Majesty and Supremacy should be our focus and not the problem that comes before us. The Bible says He will never leave us nor forsake us so you be encouraged and know that He is near. (Isaiah 53:1-12) (Hebrews 13:5) When times of discouragement come our way, we are to remember what the Apostles went through when they were sharing the gospel message to all the world. The Apostle Paul who is known as one of the greatest Apostles suffered greatly for the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ, but without complaint. The Bible says that Paul was beaten for preaching the gospel of the Lord and placed in the depths of the jails in Philippi and yet victory was still in his mind while he sang praises to the Lord in the midst of being in jail. Paul was also whipped three separate times with rods, once was stoned, he was shipwrecked three times; once being adrift at sea for one whole day and night and the list goes on and on. (2 Corinthians 11:23-31) All of these tribulations that Paul went through is enough to cause anyone to say I give up and yet the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Paul called his great sufferings a light affliction. Imagine his complete faithfulness to the Lord knowing that his reward will greatly overshadow every insult and persecution that came his way. How much more should we show our faithfulness to the Lord who haven?Tt suffered anywhere near Paul's adversities? (Acts 16:25-34) The faithfulness and adoration of Peter also comes to mind. It is a well known historical fact that the Apostle Peter who was condemned to death by crucifixion for his stance and belief on the Lord Jesus Christ asked to be crucified upside down because he felt unworthy to die the physical death in the same manner as His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Can you imagine the adoration that Peter had for the Lord that he would ask to be crucified upside-down and suffer an even greater death? Such love can not be understood by today's society because we have become quick in coming to God with our requests rather than coming to God with our praise and worship. (John 21:18-19) (Isaiah 6:1-5) (Psalm 100:1-5) (Matthew 28:16-20) Many of us that are living in this day have become lackadaisical and complacent in our living for the Lord and do not realize how lifted up and Glorious the Lord Jesus Christ really is. He is magnificent and Holy and is exalted above all things in Heaven and in Earth. We are to honor the Lord with our praises, we are to give thanks to Him for dying in our stead so that we might have eternal life, and we are to live a pure life in adoration of His sinless life. Yes it is true that we are saved by Grace and not because of anything that we have done, but still we must remember the Lord's sacrifice and honour Him with our life. (Philippians 2:9-11) I encourage you to repent if you have not lived according to God's standards and ask for a new heart to praise and worship Him in spirit and in truth. God is faithful to forgive and overlook our short falls when we ask for His forgiveness. Be encouraged to continue on without complaint but rather with thankfulness and singing in your heart. Live for the Lord and let His marvellous works be made manifest through your life to impact others for His Glory and eternal purposes. (Isaiah 55:6-7) (Psalm 95:1-8) Read and meditate on these scriptures: 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.? John 1:10-12 He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
