http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21131 Using Jetspeed with J2SE 1.4.2-beta breaks portlets ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-07-02 18:25 ------- Santiago, I was surprised that putting the jars into $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/endorsed did not work. I remember something about a JAVA_ENDORSED_DIRS environment parameter. Is that needed to make this work? Anyway, I would prefer not to close the bug on a workaround. I would support dropping the severity from blocker to critical once the documentation is updated. Jetspeed still needs to be modified so that it somehow ignores the XML parser in the JDK or maybe we should convince Sun to take the XML parser out of the JDK or to make the parser classes private only for specific JDK uses only.
