Don't know if this helps but this is the deployment manager class, I
think it uses a thread to query the file system for changes:

org.apache.jetspeed.deployment.impl.StandardDeploymentManager

Subject: Jetspeed Auto-Deploy mechanism

Hello All

I know that this is not a Jetspeed related question, but perhaps you
could help me since Jetspeed itself have what I am about to explain.

I want to develop a web application that will be always listening to a
"configured" directory for the existence of new files, like Jetspeed
does for the directory "deploy". Anyone has an idea how to do this?

Hope to hear from you.

Regards
Ruben
