I responded on the jetspeed-user mailing list with a solution. Here it is again: Modify the root folder.metadata (not default-page.psml), and edit this element below, replacing jetspeed with jetexpress: <defaults layout-decorator="jetexpress" portlet-decorator="jetexpress" /> As I said on the mailing list, I am working on updating the tutorial for 2.3.0. It should work fine, but there are a few *minor* bumps like this one.
