JSP configuration questions (for the Portlet Catalog)

Catalog documentation.  

1) Supported media types?

2) Does the JSP have access to <parameter> in it's <portlet-entry>,
   i.e. Can I add parameters that the JSP will use?

3) What JSP stuff should NOT be done?
