Hi all, I am a brand new Jetspeed user and I have a couple of questions about it. My company wants to set it up as an Intranet portal and I have to see if it is possible... So here are my questions...
1) The default database seems to contain only user information. Is it possible to use a larger database (Informix for instance), in order to save all portal information? 2) Can we use Jetspeed as a content management tool? If not, is there, in Jakarta, a project that does this? 3) What are the "groups" used for in the basic version of Jetspeed? Is it possible to modify it in order to manage users by group profiles? 4) I know there is a search engine included with Jetspeed but I do not know which one... And how to use it? 5) How about multi-language portal? 6) Is there an administration console for Jetspeed? 7) For the people who use Jetspeed in their companies, are you satisfied with it? What are the competences need to set it up? And, finally, is it resource consuming? I am aware my questions are not very technical, but as I said before, I am a beginner with Jetspeed...
