You have to modify controls template in WEB-INF/templates/vm/controls/html/jetspeed-tab.vm
Of course, it's much better to write your own control than modifing this one. You have to do it using velocity, since controls have not any JSP equivalent template, but anyway, take a look to that code and you will see as you will understand pretty fast how it's implemented :) Hope this helps.
