Joe, Yes, there is a workaround. You can do a search on bugzilla under the Jetspeed project to see all the workarounds, including the latest for the 1.4 final, but we got Jetspeed working with Tomcat 4.1.29 by copying the xalan.jar file (we downloaded version 2.5.1 from the web) into the Tomcat/common/endorsed directory. Give that a try and see if it works for you. And if you are using a windows box, you must start Tomcat up using the startup.bat file under the bin subdirectory. The windows shortcut's classpath will find the version of xalan.jar bundled with the jdk 1.4.2 before it hits the Tomcat/common/endorsed directory, unless you modify the window shortcut.

There seem to be some xml processing differences currently that make some links and images break.
