Hi Jeremy,
I had a similar problem as well. But when I looked into the jetspeed.log, it stated
that the database is already in use by another resource and fails to connect, and in
turn fails to retrieve the user info, resulting in NullPointerException. I havent
tried switching the database and trying yet again. But does this mean, its just
something in the TR or JR properties file that started off this issue?

Are you trying to use a database? Make sure it is populated and is
configured correctly.
