If you are using the file based psml service, then you can add psmls to the various directories and they should automatically be found by Jetspeed when you navigate to them.

As for the database, I'm not sure about that one, but I will assume the same is true.

I would like to know if there is a way to create a psml document and feed it to Jetspeed on the fly


If I understand it right the psml documetn determine Jetspeed's way to present a page to the user.
If insteed of one main Protal page I would like to be able to define many portal pages I get the feeling that the PSML files will start to get very very big
