Hi, Is there a clean way to handle database dependencies in Jetspeed. I know that the initial home page psml is read from the database at startup. My questions: 1) If the database is not up this information is not initialized and the only way to recover from this is stop tomcat and start the database and then restart tomcat. Is there a clean way to indicate that Jetspeed has a dependency on the database being up? 2) Is it possible to put some polling logic somewhere once Jetspeed is up and running so that once the database is up the home page is visible and then if the database is down the message "Database is down" can be printed? Please help..we are trying to deploy this in test pretty soon and this is a major hindrance. Thanks in advance for all your time and patience.
