You can use the security of your container (app server) easily in
Jetspeed 2 through the JAAS connectivity.  In Jetspeed 1,
authentication is easy, but authorization requires a little code on
your part.

In either case, you just setup your security in your application
server, and then all of your applications and portal will use that.
