Ate, If I understand it right, If I have an expanded & infused war, I don't even need to deploy it in the "Deploy" directory. Instead dropping it in the webapps folder would be good enough. That's great. So if I do have an application that I need to 'portalize', I could modify the web.xml & portlet.xml and drop it to in the webapps(ofcourse, assuming implementation of the app itself is as per spec) ready to be picked up as a JSR168 portlet. Great!
