Prashanth, I'm using J2-M4 and that seems to have taken care of the problems. Thanks. Now all I need is some lessons on how to administrate this thing.

I believe the errors are due to the mismatch in XML libraries. Anyways, I placed the XML jar files (xalan-2.4.1.jar, xerces-2.3.0.jar, and xml-apis-2.0.2.jar) under Tomcat's shared library ($CATALINA_HOME/shared/lib) and most of the issues got resolved. I hope this helps. (And BTW, I am using J2-M3) Thanks, Prashanth -----Original Message----- From: David Barron [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 1:02 PM To: Jetspeed Users List Subject: Portlet errors I'm trying to see if I'm the only one having problems with jetspeed-2 running on Windows XP, in Tomcat 5.5.9 with JDK 1.5.0. Tomcat starts up without a problem and I can log in as admin, but I'm seeing some nasty errors in most of the portlets. For example, if I go to the RSS Demo page the Rome RSS Portlet displays the following errors: Portlet is Not Available: null Reason: Failed to process RSS Feed: http://www.npr.org/rss/rss.php?topicId=4, com.sun.syndication.io.ParsingFeedException: Invalid XML The Other portlet on the RSS Demo page shows BeanCreationExcptions. The CSS Demo Portlet generates DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl could not be instantiated: java.lang.NullPointerException And I get the same errors in the User Detail Information portlet on the User Management Portlet.
