Hello, I have a jetspeed application deployed in a production server and I am trying to change a security constraint associated with a particular portlet. To do this I am using the jetspeed admin console.
Scenario now: - In the Portlet Application Manager, PortletA, under the security tab, has the constraint PortletACons - In the Constraints tab, PortletACons has the role PortletARole - my user id has the role PortletARole - I am able to see PortletA What I have done: - Keep PortletA with security constraint PortletACons - Go to the Constraints tab, select PortletACons, click Edit Constraints, remove role PortletARole and add role PortletARoleSubstitute - select my user id, remove role PortletARole and add role PortletARoleSubstitute In this case I stop seeing PortletA on my add/arrange page. I closed JS admin console and opened it again and under the Constraints tab I can see that the list of roles for PortletACons is back to what I had before, i.e., PortletARole. I checked the table PAGE_SEC_CONSTRAINT_DEF and the role associated with this constraint did not change at all so I guess this means I don't have permission to change roles in constraints. What I find weird is that I am able to create a new constraint and associate any roles with it and this works fine. Could it also be that the "save" constraint button is not actually saving it? Any help would be great. Thanks.
