I need to authenticate those 3 sites also.
In that case if I could store the credentials , can I be able to use the
jetspeed SSO provider to authenticate and use the cookie or session id while
opening the new window?
Thanks & Regards,
Pradeep.

I need to use the SSO in jetspeed.
primary authentication is done in jetspeed,
once the user authenticated in jetspeed he is authorized to use 3
different web applications, running on different servers.
So when user logs into the jetspeed portal, the homepage contains the
URL links to the 3 different webapplications.
once the user clicks on these links a new window should open with the
user logged in in that web application.
is this possible to do in jetspeed ? I checked the webcontent portlet it
drains the output to a portlet , unlike this, I need to open a different
browser ,exclusively for the application.
If you don't need to authenticate, take a look at using links
When I logged in as a admin ,I saw the SSO Management tab, where you can
add site that needs authentication and the credentials also, can anyone
explain me in which way I can use this facility ?
SSO in Jetspeed is not a federated solution. We simply store credentials,
and then pass those credentials onto the site you a logging on to, and
track cookies.
There are two portlets out of the box that work with SSO: SSOWebContent
and SSOIFrame portlets
You can use these portlets to get a simple single signon solution
