Loaded 8.1.3, and now servlet.log(msg) works again. Have not encountered a
servlet.log(msg, throwable) yet to positively ensure it works now too.
Is this just an oversight that the bug page still shows it as open, and not
mentioned in release note? Make no mistake, I am not complaining, just giving
feed back. If you did not know this is happening, the next version could well
reverse the behavior back to broken.
