Hi, I am a Jetty noob.

I've installed:

jetty-distribution-9.3.11.v20160721 on Ubuntu 14.04 with Oracle Java
1.8.0_101.

I'm running Jetty as a service, having dropped jetty.sh into
/etc/init.d/jetty.

I've added a couple JAVA_OPTIONS and the process starts via:

/usr/bin/java -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -server -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC
-Djetty.logging.dir=/opt/jetty/logs -Djetty.home=/opt/jetty
-Djetty.base=/opt/jetty -Djava.io.tmpdir=/tmp -jar /opt/jetty/start.jar
jetty.port=7070 jetty.state=/opt/jetty/jetty.state jetty-logging.xml
jetty-started.xml start-log-file=/opt/jetty/logs/start.log

I have not set up a JETTY_BASE.

I'm writing because the service stops periodically throughout the day as I
am testing (and frequently hot deploying) a WAR.

After poking around a little, I can't find a log file that provides any
indication of what's going on.

Can someone provide some guidance on where to go from here?

Thanks a lot.

Mick
