Hello! The Jetty team wanted to reach out to the community with our plans to officially retire the Jetty 9.3.x branch. As development shifted on Jetty 9.4 and Jetty 10, Jetty 9.3 took a back seat, having been feature complete for some time. As such, for the last year or more the Jetty 9.3 branch has only seen maintenance releases and security fixes when necessary.
So after four and a half years and 28 releases, the Jetty 9.3.x branch will be officially community EOL with the release of Jetty 10. It will still receive patches if a major security vulnerability is found, but aside from that will see no more releases. If you are a commercial entity who is currently deploying Jetty 9.3.x and will need future support, please reach out to [email protected] for more information about services offered by Webtide, the team behind Jetty webserver.
