A fascinating website. I was never aware that "Lingua
Franca" was originally the name of a specific language.
That this trading language had many Jewish
contributions does not surprise me: the Dutch market
language also consisted of many Yiddish words and
phrases.

By the way, it's interesting to note that this website
has an edition number and a foreword, like in those
old-fashioned paper publications...
