August 10, 2011 (BENTIU) – A Unity state, South Sudan, oil company is

Thoar said that the actions were “very dangerous” and various
ministries are involved in ensuring that the practise does not
continue.

He explained that the oil company has been instructed to use the South
Sudanese pound or in US dollars.

Many of the oil companies operating in South Sudan have their offices
in Khartoum. Since the secession, Thoar suggested that it was the
responsibility of the government to attract these companies open
offices in Juba

Thoar denied suggestions that North and South Sudan are involved in an
economic war. South Sudan launched its currency ahead of schedule
after accusing North Sudan of denying them cash. In response, North
Sudan launched a new currency with references to South Sudan removed.
