The Commissioner of the County of Kejo-Keji says the Currency
Conversion Committee responsible for exchanging Sudanese Pounds with
the new RSS currency has not yet reached his area.

Speaking to Radio Miraya, Commissioner Muki Batali Buli, who is in
Juba to lobby for the Committee to go to his County, said that most
citizens in the area are anxious that they may not exchange their
money before the coming deadline.

"We are left with only two weeks now for the process to end. And if
these people don't go there, what are the people of Kajo-Keji going to
do with that money?" said the Commissioner.

The problem is not limited to Kajo-Keji. The Press Secretary of the
Yei County Commissioner said the money exchange process has started at
both in Yei town Ivory and South Sudan Bank. However, he said that the
same service has not yet reach other places like Payams and Bomas.

Meanwhile the head of currency conversion committee in Kornelio Korom
said that people there have exchanged about one billion pounds.
