A woman in Kajo Keji County, Central Equatoria State, has sold three of her children for 700 SSp. The children were sold to an unidentified man. The Assistant Communication Officer of the Anglican Diocese of Kajo-Keji, Logun Edward Stanley, explained to Radio Miraya that the woman could not afford to feed her children. "A certain woman who, because she could not afford to feed her children, decided to sell three of her children to some man for 700 SS pounds.." Edward said the sold children were identified by a relative in Juba last week, who brought them back to their family in Kajo-Keji. The woman denied that she sold her children, and instead blamed her husband, saying he was the one who decided to sell the children. "The father of my children is in Torit. He is a soldier. He could not help us at all. He has not sent me anything. He has chased me then he decided to sell the children." The case has been reported to the police and they are investigating. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JFD info" group.
