football3South Sudan has gained membership to the Supreme Council for Sports in Africa, according to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Cirino Hiteng Ofuho. Addressing a press conference in Juba on Friday, Hiteng explained that as a member of the Supreme Council of Sports in Africa, South Sudan qualifies to participate in all African and regional games. Hiteng said the country is also in the process of applying for membership to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Football Governing Body (FIFA).
