make sure that in /etc/apache/modules.conf, the line

LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so

is there, and that in httpd.conf

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

is uncommented - be sure to restart apache as well.

Well I did these aforementioned things and rebooted the machine. I still get the
same error message. I also found out:

after I edit /etc/apache/httpd.conf (as root) I get this error repeated 3 times to
the root window:

Xlib: connection to " :0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

I relaunched mozilla as a user(like before) and I can see the files when I use this URL:
file:///usr/share/jffnms/htdocs/admin/

all of the php files including setup.php are present, but I cannot view them.

I also did this on both the sid and sarge installations and have the indentical problems.

I launched mozilla as root(with xhost display priviledges, and I get the same messages.

Mozilla and apache seem to be work, because I and view everything on the internet,
and even 'ntop' that is installed on both the sid and sarge machines.....

Ideas are most welcome.
