Jason,

Then you will be ok, edit the engine/discovery/snmp_interfaces.inc.php and change the IfDescr OID to .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.1

You will have to do the same on engine/pollers/snmp_verify_interface_number.php, chagne the ifDescr OID.

Hope that helps.

If JFFNMS really help you in you job, it will be good if you considered a donation, thanks.

Hi
This box running JFFNMS is only going to be used for CATos devices, so what
would the proper OID be and where would this script be located? So, once I
have the snmp_interfaces script using the new OID to populate the Interface
name field, it will show the logical interface name, correct? Thanks again
for all the help I've gotten from this forum. Great product, great forum.
Thanks. :) Cheers!

Hi Jason,

The only way to do this, is change the OID in the snmp_interfaces discovery script, but that will change it for all the hosts.

We need an exception system, that should handle the different Host Types. So you could say, for CatOS, use a different OID for the Interface Names.

But we don't have that yet. Its on the TO DO List.

Hi again,
Is there anyway to have the titles of the graphs changed to represent the interface or something else, because as it stands now, all the graph titles are the same "multimode fibre fast ethernet". Can I change this manually or have JFFNMS use some other value to auto name these graphs. Thanks again.

Jason,

I think you have a CatOS box, and thouse have a extrange way of showing
the interface names, not like an IOS box.

We'll need exceptions for those.

Hi
I was wondering if there is any way to configure JFFNMS to use the
logical port names (ie. F0/1, g3/22, etc) instead of the long name "short wave fibre fast eth(rest is cut off)". Or can I expand the "Group Interface" scroll box so that I can see the whole long name? Thanks
