It's likely that the SMTP relay is doing some spam checks and noticing that the IP your mail is being delivered from doesn't jive with the domain name, or it's an invalid domain name on the server.
Your admin simply needs to whitelist the IP that JFF is on so it will allow mail through. This isn't a security problem, he should see that.
