Mario,

You can run the poller manually
php -q poller.php <host ID> <interface ID>

and you will see the matching code.

Another test will be to change the regexp to anything esle to see it not match,
and another way will be to put a firewall rule to disable access to that IP from your JFFNMS server.

The easy way is just put a string that you know it should be there, like
your company name.
