Hi Darren,
I'll check how Cacti does it, and see if its not something Windows specific.
If its in the Host-MIB I'll implement it, but for 0.8.1.
Sorry,
Javier

Javier.
There must be some way, because Cacti does just that - via SNMP, even, with no special plug-ins.
At least, it does off a Windows 2000 server, anwyay.
I get individual graphs for each CPU - even the "vurtual" one hyper threading creates - so on a two P4 hyper threading box, I get 4 CPU graphs.

Hi Steve,
The numbers are aggregated, so 100% * 4 CPUs = 400%
So 76% means 76/400 of total usage.
There's no way to get the usage of a specific CPU.

Javier - it does show 400% so that is correct?
So what does the maximum number mean if it's not really the maximum? Is it the maximum of your average?
Also what does 76% mean versus the 400% top threshold? IT's not 75% of 400% is it.

Hi Steve,
What you did is ok, you should set the number of CPUs manually.
Does the CPU Utilization graph adds up to 400% ? it should.
JFFNMS graphs are not real-time like the Task Manager, and we also do average the values. So it won't be the same.

I have a server with 4 processes - The autodiscovery did pick up that the CPU had 4 processors so I went into the interfaces EDIT and changed it - but I don't see any difference if I change the # of
processors.
Should I see a difference - what should that value be - It doesn't seem to match with the task manager under performance. For example if
I go to the machine and see the cpu hit 40% then I go to jffnms and click a refresh for the last 10 minutes under PERFORMANCE - I don't see the max number ever change to 40.
What's wrong?
