hey all,
i'm a bit behind on reading list traffic, so please excuse me if this has been covered previously:

we're running a generic apache name based virtual hosting server, one host, about 10 websites. we monitor the host port 80, as well as content monitor port 80 for most of the websites.

problem: if the host machine goes down, not only do i get an alert about that machine, but i also get alerts for all 10 web sites.

question: is there a way to have these websites 'main interface' be the actual server's port 80 itself, saving me having to get 11 alerts each time apache shuts down?

i've tried creating a map, with the only interface being port 80 on the server, and then setting that map as the main interface for each website, but that doesn't seem to work (nor is it documented, from what i can find, but i figured it was worth a shot).

thanks for any input, btw <3 jffnms,

-g
