During my install I noticed the instructions said to only move the nmap executable, but I had to move all the nmap files included in the nmap zip into the jffnms folder to get it to work.

2nd request.

What’s the cause of this error message.

I think I might have a typo somewhere, but where ?

Correction.

Manually the poller.bat runs fine.

Via the scheduler I get an error message:

Invalid switch “/php”

I have a new install now on a windows 2000 pro.

The folder rrd is not being populated by rrd files.

I do see the schedulers running, this time withour any error messages.

I can run them manually also without any error messages.

I have copied this from the error log files.

Hi Leopold:
I have followed this here verbatum and I didn’t run into too much issues…nothing that I was not able to make my way out of.

http://www.jffnms.org/jffnms/INSTALL.win32.txt

I am assuming you’re doing this on Windows..

Let me know how it goes…do you have instant messenger?

Andre

I am going to with a new install.

Can you point me which installguide you used to get it working, there seems to be several going around.

Additional question are you running smokeping or anything that is just pinging the hosts ?

Andre,

I downloaded version 1.0.49.

In the state and availability I can see some stats.

In the performance graph I receive the message:

The RRDTool files for Interface ID 2 (from Host ID 2), has not been created by the Poller Process yet

I the rrd files were being updated till 29 of July  in the jffnms\rrd folder.

You probably didn’t see my earlier post to Phil in regards to this type of error.  But check your RRDTool.exe version…or you should know which version you downloaded…but you need version 1.0.49 for this to work.  I ran into the same issue with my install on Saturday.

I am running it on W2k/Apache/PHP, the works..

Try getting a lower revision of rrdtool and see what happens.

Let me know

Hi,

Running jffnms in windows 2003.

I am trying to monitor to interfaces.

I receive the message:

The RRDTool files for Interface ID 8 (from Host ID 4), has not been created by the Poller Process yet

And indeed I can see that in the timetable the polling has not started yet.

If I try to start the batch files rddtool or the poller (as a matter of fact all btach files) manually I see a lot of “can not find module “ errors.

Leopold
