I can answer some of these...but a lot of these questions are answered in the manual.
1) JFF uses PHP. You can find the files in the /opt/jffnms/engine file for a lot of scripts that are used. 2) I'm not sure of the question you're asking here. There are several device-specific MIB's that are used (i.e, I know Cisco and several UPS's are in there) but I'm not sure if you can add other whole MIB's. I do know that you can add specific SNMP strings to be queried; search the manual for "SNMP" and you'll find the place it talks about that. 4) I believe you have to write these in PHP. There is a section in the manual about that. 5) I believe SMS is an included module, but you're going to have to modify the included PHP script to get it to work for your carrier specifically. 6) That's in the manual.
