Hello all, I had this problem with querying a FreeBSD box and I found out that I HAD to install Net-SNMP from the port system. Compiling the source from net-snmp.org doesn't give the the information that I need.
I have a Redhat 7.3 box and the tar ball from http://www.net-snmp.org doesn't give me any information on disk or memory. If I run snmpwalk without any arguments (snmpwalk -v 1 -c test localhost ). I don't get anything on disk and memory but if I specify "ucdavis" as an argument, then I get the stats on disk and memory. For folks monitoring Redhat boxes, which version of SNMP are you running on the monitored box? Is it an RPM and from the CD?
