We're running JFF on a 1.5 Ghz laptop with 512MB of RAM; it's monitoring over 700 interfaces (about 75 hosts, including a couple of 7200's that have about 150+ interfaces each). We're running Fedora Core 3 on the box. The box runs between 30-50% CPU usage, with a few spikes into the high 50's.
Sounds like there might be something else going on with the machine...maybe dig into which processes are using up that much CPU and seeing if there's something not right there? We're using a pair of P4 2.8 GHz machines with 1GB of memory. You've obviously never tried to run other NMSes :) - Craig -- Craig Small GnuPG:1C1B D893 1418 2AF4 45EE 95CB C76C E5AC 12CA DFA5 Eye-Net Consulting http://www.enc.com.au/ MIEE Debian developer csmall at : enc.com.au ieee.org debian.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the JBoss Inc.
